Île Pourpre
A chypre‑fruity fig that sails from green, incense‑laced shiso and ginger into a dark, milky black fig heart, finally mooring in a velvety trail of cedar, patchouli, cashmeran and ambroxan that feels both mysterious and warmly sensual.
Scent Development and Character
Île Pourpre opens with a cool, aromatic flare of shiso, angelica seed, incense, Italian bergamot and ginger, a green‑spicy breeze over dark waters before the fragrance ripens into black fig wrapped in fenugreek, davana and a soft iris nuance. As it settles, dry cedar and patchouli meet cashmeran and ambroxan, creating a velvety, ambery‑woody trail where fig, spice and musky warmth linger like the memory of a nocturnal island.
Who It Is For and When to Wear It
Île Pourpre suits cooler spring and autumn days and temperate summer evenings, where its aromatic spice and dark fig can unfold without becoming heavy. It works equally well in artistic daytime settings and intimate night‑time wear, pairing especially with layered, textured fabrics and moods that seek a quietly dramatic, slightly enigmatic presence. Best suited to autumn and cooler spring days, with enough warmth for some winter wear and sufficient freshness for temperate summer evenings. Sillage: moderate, forming a discernible aura without becoming overpowering; it sits between skin‑scent intimacy and room‑filling presence. Longevity: Moderate to good longevity, typically lasting most of a workday with the ambroxan‑woody base remaining noticeable on skin.
