Rêve à Trois belongs to Valentino's Anatomy of Dreams line, and it starts from a single image: a fresco that, for one ecstatic moment, appears to come alive.
Calabrian bergamot essence and an iris accord are listed as the key notes, giving a bright citrus opening with a powdery edge. Rose absolute and a saffron accord form the heart, the saffron adding a dry, spiced warmth to the flower.
The base is dense: an oud accord, Madagascar Bourbon vanilla infusion, guaiac wood essence and musks. Valentino files it under woody amber, and the drydown leans that way, with smoky wood and vanilla wrapped around the saffron.
