Butterfly Nectar
A lemon, clover and honey fruity floral, with juicy sweetness, an animalic warmth and the depth of woods.
Perfumer: Dawn Spencer Hurwitz
Butterfly Nectar imagines butterflies sipping nectar on a summer afternoon. Lemon, clover and honey meet the juicy sweetness of white peach and apricot, alongside the sensual character of jasmine and rose. Beeswax adds a softer, waxy quality to the meeting of fruit and flowers. The drydown brings musky, civet-like animalic warmth together with the depth of sandalwood and patchouli. There is a languid sensuality within its bright, sweet character. The Japanese brand’s image of butterfly wings showing different faces from different angles finds a counterpart in these interwoven floral and honeyed impressions.
