Voyeur Verde
Cypress, fennel and frankincense around an old Mercedes hidden under greenery in Spain.

Voyeur Verde reads as a mix of citrus, trees and flowers that never quite separates: bergamot, mandarin and cypress run together with iris and ylang ylang in bloom. Fennel, a herb with sweet, aniseed-like seeds, joins frankincense and woods to give the whole a herbal, green and resinous smell. Rosewood, patchouli, leather and cedarwood complete the list of key notes.
The story behind it is a single scene from 2008. On a hillside in Pedramala, Spain, an old Mercedes with faded paint has been left to the weather, buried under so much greenery that a passer-by could miss it entirely. Under the foliage, the leather interior suggests liquorice, while cypress trees stand in the shadow of the Sierra Bernia mountains.
The leather of that hidden interior also appears in the key notes.
