Perfect Oud Eau de Parfum

Perfect Oud Eau de Parfum begins with a freeze-frame: pieces of oud heated by embers, burning slowly. Other woods give shape to that imagined scene. Alberto Morillas chose not to use natural oud essence, portraying instead the olfactory memory of the wood: embers turning crimson, and fine wisps of smoke scenting body, fabric and skin. This is the Eau de Parfum formula, distinct from the Extrait of the same name.

At the center of that woody memory is Alaska cedar essence in the base. The brand calls it rarely used in perfumery and says it gradually reveals nuances of leather and incense. Bergamot and coriander essences in the top refresh the cedar, while cade essence adds a burnt-wood character.

Iris concrete and an oud accord form the heart, and together with Bulgarian rose essence from the top they round off the incandescent woods with floral softness. The result moves between the image of burning oud and the softness of flowers. It suits those who want dry smoke and leathery wood softened by rose and iris.
