A cocoa-and-chestnut gourmand inspired by a rainy Paris café, with rum, maté and orris over a vanilla base shaded by guaiac wood and incense.

Maison Violet frames Pour rêver as a short scene: a rainy day in Paris, a grey sky that still looks beautiful, and a regular café where the owner greets you without fuss. The coffee carries hints of cocoa and nuts, a favourite book is open again, and then a stranger walks through the door. The title, meaning "to dream", echoes that unwritten next chapter.

The opening pairs rum, candied chestnut and hazelnut with maté, whose dry, slightly bitter edge keeps the sugar from turning sticky. At the heart, cocoa extract brings a dusky, cocoa-powder depth, softened by the cool powder of orris pallida and the quiet resin of myrrh. The base settles into vanilla framed by guaiac wood and incense, so the sweetness ends on a smoky, woody note rather than pure dessert.

It reads as a cocoa-and-chestnut gourmand for unhurried afternoons, especially when the weather turns damp and cool.
