A Rose For...
Darjeeling tea, incense and cassis lead to rose, oud and orris, with warmer wood and vanilla.
Perfumer: Edward Bodenham
A Rose For... grew from Edward Bodenham’s visit to Moroccan rose fields in 2015. The warmth and atmosphere surrounding the flowers suggested a deeper way to interpret rose through wood and incense. Introduced in 2016, the fragrance also invites its wearer to complete its name as a more personal gesture.
Darjeeling tea, incense and cassis provide drier tea-like texture and brighter fruit. Red rose, orris and oud form the heart, giving richer petals powderier softness and deeper wood. Sandalwood, patchouli and vanilla support the finish, connecting floral richness with warmer timber and gentler sweetness.
Consider it for a winter evening or when rose should gain quieter tea and wood. The Japanese house also suggests winter wear. The illustrated 100mL Eau de Parfum has rectangular clear glass, a gold cap, a red front label, amber-coloured liquid and a thick transparent base.
