About Pierre Guillaume
Pierre Guillaume is a French independent perfumer who keeps creation, material management, and manufacturing connected within his own workshops. He sees perfume as the meeting of scientific technique and poetic expression, designing not only novelty but also a destination that can be worn in daily life.
Career
Raised in a family of chemists, Guillaume collected essential oils and fragrant materials from childhood. Around twenty-five, an attempt to reproduce the smell of his father's cigar cellar became the starting point for serious creation and his own collection. In 2010 he established a company with a composition studio, raw-material cellar, and filling line, expanding through a second workshop in 2015 and a new Auvergne manufacture in 2023.
Creative Style & Philosophy
Creative and financial independence is not a license for novelty but responsibility for coherent decisions about material, concentration, price, and manufacturing quality. Chemical knowledge controls texture while images from art and place become structures that avoid literal explanation. Long relationships with customers matter, supporting continuous renewal at a scale that avoids overproduction.
