VOLUPTÉ NOIRE
Davana, dates and white flowers meet honey, darker oak and warmer animalic amber.
Perfumer: Pierre Guillaume
Volupté Noire interprets ambrosia through honey from Morocco’s Atlas mountains and the image of a panther’s fur. The phrase in its name also connects with the Baudelaire poem that inspired A une Madone. Sweeter animalic flowers are brought towards deeper wood and warmer skin.
Bergamot, davana and Medjool dates open the fragrance, followed by linden, acacia, jasmine and black oak. Euphorbia honey, amber and musk surround the fuller flowers. A drier tannin-like woody shade remains beside sweeter fruit and floral nectar. The selected 100 mL bottle has a red-to-black gradient rectangular body with a black cap and central label.
