18.1 PRALINÉ DE SANTAL
Roasted hazelnut and sandalwood meet heliotrope and salt, with sweetness held back.
Perfumer: Pierre Guillaume
The idea began with a customer’s challenge: sandalwood and hazelnut, without sweetness. Following the 2011 limited edition, the current Praliné de Santal returns to the powdery tenderness of wood and nuts. Its confectionary name points towards their harmony rather than towards a sugary dessert.
Sandalwood and freshly roasted hazelnut meet the powdery softness of heliotrope. Cedar firms the woody outline, while fleur de sel gives it a driftwood-like salty shade. The fuller wood is presented with sweetness held back. The selected 100 mL bottle combines clear rectangular glass with a black cap and circular label.
