Les Racines Du Mâle
Vetiver develops a leathery shade, deepened by incense, tar vapour and guaiac.
Perfumer: Pierre Guillaume
Les Racines du Mâle centres on an unexpected leathery shade that appeared within vetiver during maturation. The perfumer describes a transformation after fifteen weeks of maceration, as if leather roots had grown among the vetiver roots. That discovery becomes a more mysterious woody-resinous composition.
Vetiver and leather meet incense, tar vapour and guaiac. Drier root-like depth expands into smoke and warmer wood. The leather remains like a shadow within the sweeter, resin-tinted background. The selected 100 mL bottle has a deep blue rectangular body with a gold-coloured cap and circular label.
