L’Eau De Circe
Osmanthus, peach and plum meet woods, amber and a honeyed patina.
Perfumer: Pierre Guillaume
L’Eau de Circé imagines an old perfume bottle found years after being forgotten and never opened. Flowers and fruits acquire a softer patina of time, like the first lines on a face. The legend of the enchantress Circe, her hair adorned with flowers and fruit, becomes a melancholy fruity floral.
Osmanthus absolute, orange blossom, white peach and mandarin meet plum and honey. Woods and amber surround the brighter flowers, while the coppery shade associated with osmanthus gives the composition a smoother, more mature character. The selected 100 mL bottle combines clear rectangular glass with a black cap and circular label.
