MECANIQUE DU DESIR
Mandarin and violet leaf meet amber, musks and a darker mechanical woody impression.
Perfumer: Pierre Guillaume
The starting point is the perfumer’s memory of winter Sundays restoring older cars with his father. Workshop grease carried both happy associations and a penetrating smell that unsettled him. That attraction and repulsion are translated into warmer amber and darker woods.
Mandarin brightness meets the metallic outline of aldehydes and blackcurrant bud. Violet leaf and guaiac create a darker texture, surrounded by amber and animalic musks. Greener floral shades and an oily woody impression suggest the gloss of machinery. The selected 100 mL bottle has a predominantly black rectangular body with a black cap and circular label.
