About Jovoy
Jovoy is a Parisian perfume house founded in 1923 and revived by François Hénin in 2010. It creates its own fragrances alongside a boutique business presenting perfumes from other houses, bringing the roles of fragrance creator and specialist retailer into the same setting.
History
Hénin's interest in aromatic raw materials took him through experiences in Vietnam and Grasse before he brought the Jovoy name back into contemporary perfumery. As its creative director, he works with perfumers to turn encounters, travel experiences and personal memories into individual fragrances. The revived house builds its collection through these collaborations and through a continuing curiosity about scent.
Philosophy & Signature Style
Discovery, surprise and the pleasure of finding an unfamiliar material are central to Jovoy's approach. Its subjects range from memories of everyday moments to landscapes encountered far from home. Each perfume gives a particular experience a sensory form, drawing on the smells, textures and human presence associated with the original setting. Hénin's narratives provide a starting point that the perfumers develop through their own work.
Iconic Fragrances
Remember Me recalls milky tea and frangipani encountered in Qatar, combining tea, spices and the softness of milk. Private Label explores a drier, deeper woody character through papyrus, vetiver and leather, supported by patchouli and resins. Their different textures show the breadth of subjects the house brings into its perfume collection.
