Ha Long Bay

Ha Long Bay was conceived as a sensory tribute to Vietnam, taking its name and theme from the legendary bay. At its centre is a rare sand mango, Xoài Cát, which Jovoy describes as emblematic of Hoa Loc. The brand presents the scent as an intimate evocation that blends memories with precious raw materials.
Mango opens alongside cardamom and black pepper. Jovoy notes facets of peach, banana and apricot in the mango, so the fruit reads ripe and rounded, while the two spices give it a drier, brighter edge.
The heart moves to leather, cedarwood and nagarmotha. The brand calls the leather soft, and here it links the fruit to the woods rather than weighing them down. Ambery woods, patchouli and Orcanox form the base, a warm woody layer that holds the composition together.
