Career

Perfumery runs through his family: his father was a perfumer, his grandmother picked jasmine, and his grandfather supplied natural ingredients. Pellegrin learned by following materials through every stage from harvest to finished fragrance and has spent more than fifteen years contributing to the development of naturals. Dividing his work between Paris and the research laboratories of Grasse, he also treats teaching as a responsibility, arguing that knowledge grows through generous exchange rather than secrecy.

Creative Style & Philosophy

His fragrances preserve the tactile identity of a material while asking it to express something less literal: the touch of paper, reflected moonlight, or a rose growing through stone. *L’Eau Papier* turns rice steam, mimosa, and musk into the sensation of paper meeting skin; *Eau Rose* expands a flower into petals, leaf, stem, and water. The result is often intimate in scale but conceptually spacious, with natural texture, abstraction, and wearability held in careful balance.
