Velvet Rose & Oud
Spicy, warm clove opens onto a lavish Damask rose at the heart. Smoky, dense oud then wraps the rose, while the praline the house mentions rounds the whole with sweetness.
Composition
The official pyramid lists clove at the top, Damask rose in the heart and oud in the base. The contrast between a dawn-picked rose with spicy, honeyed facets and an oud that suggests smouldering wood shavings and incense smoke defines the scent.
Wearing it
Its dense rose and oud suggest cool autumn and winter weather and evenings out. Editorial estimates are long persistence and moderate to strong projection; start with a small amount, as skin, climate and application change both.
Perfumer and bottle
Created by Fabrice Pellegrin and launched in 2012 as part of the Cologne Intense line. The 100 mL presentation is a deep plum rectangular bottle with a rounded silver cap and lettering on the front.
