Rose on the Moon
Centifolia rose, vanilla and creamy sandalwood evoke a moonlit flower, bringing warmer, rounded textures into a quieter night-time portrait.
Perfumer: Fabrice Pellegrin
Rose on the Moon imagines a rose in moonlight, surrounded by the warmth of sandalwood and vanilla. Created by Fabrice Pellegrin for the 2024 Absolue Les Parfums collection, it sets a softer floral and woody composition against the cooler, more mysterious atmosphere of night. The perfumer wanted sandalwood’s fuller texture to enhance the rose, allowing flower and wood to become closely intertwined.
Centifolia rose carries dense floral character with fruit-like and lightly spicy facets. Vanilla essence adds honey-like sweetness and warmth, while sandalwood contributes a creamier, enveloping woody texture. Within the Halo construction, rose forms the centre of these elements. Brighter petals, softer vanilla sweetness and fuller wood work together, giving the fragrance a rounded warmth within its quieter moonlit setting.
Consider it for an evening meal or slower time at night when you want to enjoy softer flowers and wood. It is an option for someone who also likes vanilla sweetness and the creamy texture of sandalwood around rose. The selected transparent cylindrical 50mL bottle shows a soft rose-coloured liquid beneath a gold-coloured cap. Its round plaque names the product and brand, while a rose motif appears in the thick glass base.
