About SHOLAYERED

Founded in Tokyo in 2013 by Sho Ishizaka, SHOLAYERED is a Japanese niche fragrance house built around the art of layering scents. It invites wearers to combine fragrances freely, creating a personal scent that evolves with mood, season, and moment.

History

SHOLAYERED began in Tokyo's Daikanyama district with a simple ambition: to create a fragrance culture rooted in Japanese sensibility. The brand now operates more than 30 stores across Japan, including its Ebisu flagship, and opened its first European flagship in Paris in November 2025.

Philosophy & Signature Style

Guided by “Simple = Luxury,” SHOLAYERED favors minimalist compositions that highlight the quality of each material. Its core idea is layering — not merely combining scents, but designing a fragrance experience that feels personal, subtle, and quietly addictive. The result is a collection that transcends age and gender, made to be worn close to everyday life.

Iconic Fragrances (or Did You Know?)

FRESH PEAR, with its juicy pear freshness, remains the brand's signature scent. The range also includes eight eaux de parfum inspired by memories of Japan; this French-made collection is presented as “inspired by Japan, created in France.” Beyond perfume, SHOLAYERED extends its layering philosophy to diffusers, candles, and body care, turning fragrance into a broader art of living.
