YORU NO OTO
Incense drifts through a temple after dusk. YORU NO OTO translates that stillness and the rhythm of prayer into a woody-oriental Eau de Parfum. It belongs to Les Eaux de Parfums SHOLAYERED, a collection Sho Ishizaka and Cynthia Emilli built from memories of Japan.

The opening is bergamot, black pepper and saffron. Citrus brightness meets the dry grain of pepper and a faint bitterness in saffron, close to the charged air of a stick of incense just lit.
In the middle, cashmere, jasmine and a praline accord wrap the smoke like soft cloth. The jasmine stays quiet rather than showy, and the praline leans toasted rather than sugary. It is the layer where human warmth enters the silence of the ritual.
Deeper down, oud, Japanese incense, amber and dark vanilla remain. Dry wood, resinous smoke and a shadowed sweetness fold together. Smoke, wood, and sweetness connect with the image of a temple at night.
It suggests a quiet evening spent reflecting on the day, with time to explore incense smoke, sweetness, and the softer textures between them.
