Beige

Bitter mandarin gives way to a bouquet of rose and jasmine, softened by freesia and settled in white musk. Floral yet calm, with a quiet green-woody finish.

SHOLAYERED

ベージュ 50mL ボトル

The 1945 collection was the first from SHOLAYERED to build each fragrance around a top, middle and base pyramid. The name refers to the year the father of producer SHO ISHIZAKA was born, a personal root the brand chose to preserve as scent. Beige carries the subtitle "less is more."

It opens with mandarin, whose bittersweet peel-like character offers a different expression of freshness. Thyme adds a dry herbal line beneath the citrus, so the start feels bright but not simple. Freesia then opens with a slow, luxurious floral tone the brand calls a quiet luxe.

Rose and jasmine form the center. The brand frames it as the stirring of a first encounter between fresh rose and jasmine, floral without becoming heavy, closer to a bouquet seen at arm's length than one pressed to the skin. Lily of the valley adds a clean, green transparency that keeps the flowers from blurring together.

White musk and sandalwood settle the finish, rounding the scent softly. Violet leaf leaves a faint green shadow at the end. Floral and calm at once, Beige suits a quiet morning or an afternoon that calls for composure rather than display.
