OLD FASHIONED
The Old Fashioned's stripped-down architecture rebuilt as a scent that matures on skin. Bitter citrus peel opens into a bourbon-like warmth with cherry and sugar, then finds a warmer foundation in cinnamon and woody amber.
Old Fashioned reconstructs the stripped-down architecture of its namesake cocktail—whisky, bitters, sugar, and orange peel—as the shape of a fragrance. Rather than reproducing the drink, it lets a form once completed in the glass unfold slowly on skin.
The opening is the peel of orange, lemon, and lime, sharpened by the gentle bitterness of bitters. It is bright but not sweet, held taut by that edge.
In the middle, a toasted bourbon-like warmth is joined by cherry fruit and the roundness of sugar. The weight grows without ever becoming busy. Sweetness, bitterness, and woody tones cross each other and mature over time, in the way a cocktail comes together as it rests.
Cinnamon and woody amber close the composition: spice with warmth, wood and amber with a settled gravity. The piece belongs to the Cocktail Collection, built from a collaboration with Kyoto bartender Minoru Nishida, which treats cocktail culture itself as a fragrance of time. Wear it for an evening, or for hours that ask to be lingered over.
