About Linda Sivrican
Linda Sivrican is a Los Angeles perfumer and co-founder of Capsule Parfumerie. Her compositions range from botanical fragrances built around leaves, woods and resins to experimental perfumes inspired by landscapes and the cosmos. The different brands within the house give her room to pursue these ideas in distinct ways.
Career
She established Capsule Parfumerie with her husband, Mike, in 2012. Linda composes and formulates the fragrances, while Mike brings manufacturing and sales experience to the business. In September 2020, her creation Nimbis, from the Parallax Olfactory brand, received the Art & Olfaction Artisan Award.
Creative Style & Philosophy
Sivrican draws on the diversity of her California surroundings, with coastal, desert and cosmic references appearing across her work. She formulates premium fragrances in small, hand-blended batches and is particularly interested in potent raw materials and unfamiliar aromatic territory. As resident perfumer for Fiele Fragrances, she gives botanical materials a central role: individual woods, leaves and resins become the starting points for compositions with their own textures and emotional associations.
Signature Works
- *Nimbis* — a Parallax Olfactory composition inspired by the imagined scent of falling meteors, recognized with the 2020 Art & Olfaction Artisan Award.
- *Santalum* — a Fiele fragrance centered on creamy New Caledonian sandalwood, softened by flowers and shaded with tobacco.
- *Boswellia* — a Fiele composition that sets frankincense alongside citrus, sandalwood and other warm materials, drawing on the resin's long association with contemplation.
