Santalum
Built on New Caledonian sandalwood, this scent layers jasmine and orris over a whisper of tobacco. Creamy wood warmth lingers like sunlit skin, calm and quietly sensual.
Perfumer: Linda Sivrican
Santalum is built around santalum austrocaledonicum, a responsibly sourced sandalwood from New Caledonia. Its creamy warmth arrives early and stays close, shifting slowly rather than announcing itself in stages.
Jasmine sambac and orris root soften that wood. The flowers never turn heavy; the powdery orris smooths the edges and keeps the composition quiet. Champaca adds a floral shade, and a whisper of tobacco lends complexity, recalling skin warmed by sunlight.
Vanilla absolute, espresso, and agarwood deepen the base, balancing sweetness with a faint bitterness and resinous weight. The result sits near the body, more intimate than expansive.
Wear it in small amounts at the wrist or throat, where warmth can draw the sandalwood forward. It suits cool evenings and understated dress, lingering between refinement and sensuality.
