Vetiveria
A vetiver scent built from damp moss, honeyed cognac and dry tobacco. The roots stay earthy and cool, while sandalwood and tonka soften the base into something quiet and long-wearing.

Vetiveria is built around the oil drawn from vetiver roots, and it keeps that origin close. Damp oakmoss cools the opening, cognac brings a honeyed warmth, and dry tobacco leaf adds weight. The result smells like soil turned over rather than a polished wood accord.
At first the cognac and carrot sit forward, earthy and slightly sweet, while vetiver waits underneath. As the liquor recedes, the root moves to the center and sandalwood gives it a smoother spine. Tobacco absolute reads as dried leaf rather than smoke, and tonka bean rounds off the dryness at the base.
It wears best in cool weather, when the earthy sweetness has room to settle. A wool sweater or a leather bag would suit its earthy character. For anyone who finds most vetivers too sharp or too clean, this one offers the root with the soil still attached.
