Alessandro Gualtieri, the mind behind the label Nasomatto, created Orto Parisi as an intimate tribute to his grandfather, Vincenzo Parisi. The brand draws profound inspiration from his grandfather’s life in a vegetable garden, focusing on the concepts of soil, growth, and the cycle of life.
Philosophy & Signature Style
The name "Orto Parisi" means "Parisi’s Garden," linking the body and its smells with something cultivated, lived in and continually changing. Its manifesto connects strong personal smells with a bodily character that civilised habits can suppress, making attraction and discomfort part of the same subject. Dense woody and animalic textures express this idea through contrasts of freshness, sweetness and earthiness, while the garden metaphor ties the collection to the processes of growth, nourishment and decay.
