Brutus
Earthy patchouli, citrus and aromatic flowers form a composed, substantial woody fragrance.
Perfumer: Alessandro Gualtieri
Brutus takes its character from a figure who stands firm as time passes. The brand describes a coexistence of severity and kindness, a contrast echoed by deep patchouli and softer flowers. It is a composed fragrance with a substantial outline.
Bergamot and mandarin add citrus brightness to lavender, geranium and rounded rose. Earthy patchouli is supported by dry cedar and oakmoss, with the resinous warmth of labdanum and amber and the softer texture of musk.
It fits a preference for earth and dry wood over sweet florals. A jacket or heavier fabric makes a natural companion; in quiet spaces, a restrained application lets its depth speak.
Alessandro Gualtieri created Brutus in 2014. The clear rectangular 50mL bottle is topped by a copper metal cap with an inset of hard walnut shell.
