Megamare
A broad marine fragrance joining seaweed, a salty musky impression and dry woods.
Perfumer: Alessandro Gualtieri
Megamare looks beyond a pleasant beach towards the depth and ungraspable scale of the sea. Rather than explaining that landscape, it suggests being drawn into it. Cool aquatic textures are given density by a substantial musk character.
Bergamot and lemon bring brightness to seaweed and the watery character of calone. Hedione adds an airy floral nuance. Musk, ambroxan and dry cedar support the salty, mineral impression rather than turning the sea into a sweet tropical scene.
It suits a taste for marine scents with presence. Open air provides room for that broad character; test a restrained amount before wearing it in an enclosed space.
Created by Alessandro Gualtieri in 2019, this parfum uses a clear rectangular 50mL bottle. Its silver metal cap suggests green corrosion from salt water and is inset with a seashell from Haiti.
