About HERETIC PARFUM

HERETIC PARFUM is a Los Angeles fragrance house founded by perfumer Douglas Little. Its work pays attention to the character of botanical materials, from petals and leaves to roots and resins.

History

The name means someone who departs from accepted beliefs. Little recalls choosing it after a discussion in which an industry colleague dismissed the potential of natural perfumery. That exchange encouraged him to explore the expressive possibilities of botanical ingredients through a house of his own.

Philosophy & Signature Style

Rather than smoothing away every irregularity, the house looks for the unexpected facets and shadows in its materials. Its fragrances are designed without a gender distinction and blended in small batches in Los Angeles. The range includes perfumes made with sugarcane-derived alcohol as well as oil-based formats; the materials used vary from one formula to another.

Iconic Fragrances

Dirty Hinoki evokes a forest through woods and herbs. Dirty Coconut brings coconut and sandalwood together in a creamy composition, while Scandalwood, a collaboration with Dita Von Teese, combines rose with sandalwood. The three offer different perspectives on the house’s interest in texture and atmosphere, from forest shade to creamy warmth and a rose-and-wood contrast.
