Flying Ointment
Flying Ointment Eau de Parfum turns the folklore of historical flying ointments into a woodland fragrance.
Perfumer: Douglas Little
Flying Ointment Eau de Parfum turns the folklore of historical flying ointments into a woodland fragrance. Douglas Little began with the scent of the salve he had created, then developed its earthy, resinous character as a perfume. Mitti attar, guaiacwood, vetiver, patchouli, oakmoss and frankincense meet seaweed, angelica root, cedarwood and clove. Labdanum and copal add further resinous depth. The setting is a forest floor, with roots pulled from earth and leaves crushed between the fingers. The first batch comprised 500 bottles, blended and finished by hand with individually numbered labels.
