Career

Little traces his interest in scent to childhood visits to garden centers with his mother, who made a game of identifying plants by smell. He later studied perfumery, including courses in Grasse, France, and developed Heretic Parfum as a place to pursue his interest in botanical ingredients. His earlier creative work included designing scented candles and elaborate visual installations. He has described the name as a response to an industry discussion that dismissed the prospects of natural perfumery.

Creative Style & Philosophy

Little describes his approach as a dialogue with materials, leaving room for their complexity and unpredictability. His fragrances can look beyond the familiar beauty of a flower to the earth, leaves or resin around it.
