About Delphine Lebeau
Delphine Lebeau is a French perfumer who lets apparently opposed sensations—delicacy and force, bright florals and dark woods—remain together instead of smoothing one into the other. Raised in Paris with Italian and Spanish family roots, she brings their impressions of heat and color into creation without reducing them to decorative signs.
Career
Lebeau initially began medical studies, but discovering the practice of perfume in a library redirected her toward chemistry and scent. She gained experience across Givaudan, Takasago, Fragrance Resources, and other fragrance companies before becoming a Senior Perfumer at IFF in Paris in 2018. That long corporate path has placed her before briefs from fashion houses and independent brands with very different scales and intentions.
Creative Style & Philosophy
Luminous green florals may provide the axis, with spices, woods, and musk adding contour and temperature. Beautiful materials are not simply arranged into smooth agreement: borders between bitterness and sweetness, cleanliness and animal presence, softness and sharpness remain perceptible. A client's narrative is translated into the timing of opening, diffusion, and drydown rather than repeated as explanation.
