Éloge du Vert
Rose and green pepper meet ginger, with patchouli and cedar providing a drier woody finish.
Perfumer: Delphine Lebeau
Éloge du Vert connects the mossy character of Rosa muscosa with the vivid greenery of crushed green pepper. Delphine Lebeau composed it in 2019. The eau de parfum takes rose beyond sweet petals, extending its character into leafy associations, sharper spice and a more defined woody outline.
Rose and green pepper begin with a contrast of flowers and sharper greenery. Pepper and ginger give the heart dry spice with a brighter pungent edge. Patchouli and cedar connect the floral green character to more settled woods. The structure emphasizes definition around rose rather than a strong fruity sweetness.
The selected 100mL flacon gives the composition a tangible presence. Its coloured bottle has a restrained cylindrical cap and an R monogram on its front. A light jacket or a neat shirt suits its sharper floral character. The green and spicy elements provide a clear outline around the softer impression of rose.
