Vanille Paradoxe
Juniper and rosemary brighten rose and spice, leading to vanilla, musk and Ambrox.
Perfumer: Delphine Lebeau
Vanille Paradoxe imagines wild hedges of Bourbon roses around vanilla fields on Réunion. Delphine Lebeau composed it in 2019. Aromatic greenery and rose surround vanilla’s sweetness, giving the eau de parfum an unexpected combination of warmth and freshness rather than a purely sugary character.
Juniper, rosemary and grapefruit provide aromatic greenery with bittersweet citrus. Rose, angelica, cardamom and cedar place petals alongside spice and drier wood in the heart. Vanilla, musk and Ambrox wrap that greener outline in a softer finish, keeping a quieter brightness within the sweetness.
The selected 100mL flacon gives the composition a tangible presence. Its coloured bottle has a restrained cylindrical cap and an R monogram on its front. A soft knit or a relaxed outing suits the composition. It offers vanilla with the clearer character of herbs and woods alongside its warmer, more enveloping texture.
