ジュル エ マッド ガルーダ 50mL ボトル

In a gallery of Angkor Wat, bas-reliefs carry dozens of Garuda figures, and at sundown, as the light floods in, every statue appears covered in gold. Jul et Mad’s Garuda takes its name from this “Lord of Birds”, who fights evil alongside Vishnu and Krishna, and portrays a temple site held motionless in stone by the jungle. Gold is the axis of the composition from start to finish.

The brand’s gold has two faces, opposed yet complementary. The cold of the metal belongs to fruit and spice, above all pink pepper, while saffron answers with warmth. At the centre, saffron and rum gather around Cambodian oud, the dominant accord that holds this contrast of cold and warm together from below. The perfumer is Luca Maffei.
