This is not a blue bottle 1/.1

Hard aldehydes and bitter orange open this scent, then metallic geranium and honey give way to patchouli, amber and musk. The house calls it "the perfume of Abstraction."

ディス イズ ノット ア ブルー ボトル 1/.1 115mL ボトル

The name comes from Magritte's "The Treachery of Images" — the gap between a painted thing and what it calls itself. Abstraction is the theme of 1/.1: the texture of the materials takes precedence over a recognizable scene or bouquet.

Aldehydes arrive first, not as soapy cleanliness but as a metallic tension, like touching the edge of cold metal. Bitter orange cuts through, less juice than the sharpness of peeling the rind.

Geranium holds the center. Its green, slightly metallic leaf comes forward before any softness of flower. Honey softens that outline; the sweetness is there to smooth the edge, not to lead.

Patchouli settles underneath, dry wood rather than damp earth. Amber and musk warm it, creating a warmer counterpoint to the sharp opening.

Wear it in cool weather, with heavier fabric. Leather or wool suits the hardness better than a light shirt. The house calls this the perfume of Abstraction — drawing no bouquet or fruit, only the texture of its materials.
