éveil du faune
Candied angelica meets leather and tobacco in a fragrance inspired by a faun awakening in an autumn forest.
Perfumer: Aliénor Massenet
A faun wakes on fallen leaves in the first light of an autumn morning. That woodland scene is the starting point for éveil du faune, whose name means the awakening of the faun. Perfumer Alienor Massenet built the fragrance around a tension between vegetal softness and animal sensuality.
Candied angelica brings a green sweetness, joined by bergamot and davana. Leather, narcissus and musk introduce a fuller floral and leather texture in the heart, while tobacco, oud and patchouli support the smoky depth of the base.
Massenet gives angelica an almost innocent brightness, then lets leather and tobacco reveal a more instinctive character. The movement between those impressions carries the idea of transformation: soft greenness and smoky warmth sharing the same composition.
