About Aliénor Massenet
Career
Aliénor Massenet grew up around both art and science, studied art history, and trained in perfumery at Cinquieme Sens with Monique Schlienger. She spent eighteen years at IFF before moving to Symrise in 2016.
Creative Style & Philosophy
Her work often connects transparent florals, spices, woods, and musks, smoothing the boundary between natural materials and aroma molecules. She began creating fragrances for Memo Paris in 2007, and her long collaboration with Clara and John Molloy continued into Hermetica.
Signature Works
Her credited work includes Memo Paris Irish Leather, Lalibela, and Winter Palace, as well as Maison Margiela Replica Jazz Club. She has also shaped many fragrances in the early Hermetica collection.
