Ceramic

Freesia and musk are the central materials. The scent opens on clear green foliage and apple, moves through white and purple flowers and lily of the valley, then settles into musk and woody amber.

Ceramic evokes stepping into an Icelandic spa, wrapped in freshly laundered linen and breathing cool, clear air.

Ceramic is built around freesia and musk as its central raw materials. Perfumer Alienor Massenet sets foliage, fruit and several flowers between those two pillars: a light, translucent flower and a musk that sits close to the skin.

The opening pairs the green of foliage with the clear tartness of apple, and freesia gives it a distinct outline. Sweetness stays within the brightness of the fruit, so the start feels cool and airy.

In the heart, white and purple flowers come forward alongside lily of the valley. The floral layer grows a little fuller while keeping freesia's transparency, and lily of the valley gives the centre a fresh, dewy clarity.

The base moves to musk and woody amber. A trace of the floral brightness remains as the softness of musk and the warmth of wood take over underneath.

It suits someone who loves green, translucent florals and wants an understated floral for everyday wear.
