Black Caviar
A caviar-like salty accent meets lavender, sage and rosemary, with oud and cedar leading towards the drier textures of vetiver and oakmoss.
Perfumer: Marco Genovese
Black Caviar interprets the richness of a luxurious banquet through woods and aromatic herbs. Created by Marco Genovese, the current version appeared in 2019. Its subject is the pleasure associated with fine things, expressed through a classical aromatic structure with an unexpected salty accent. Cleaner herbs and drier woods give the composition its main character rather than a sweeter gourmand impression.
The opening pairs a caviar accord with oud and cedar, bringing a brighter saltiness to a more spicy woody texture. Lavender, sage and rosemary form the aromatic heart, giving it a crisp, cleaner outline. Vetiver, patchouli and oakmoss then build the base, adding a drier, earthier warmth beneath the herbs and carrying their character into the woods.
Consider it when you want herbs and woods with restrained sweetness, or a sharper accompaniment to your clothes. The 100mL bottle combines dark smoked glass with a rose-gold-coloured cap and shoulders. Its black circular medallion bears the eagle and fragrance name, with the darker colour continuing into the thick glass base.
