Scent Development and Character
True Oud opens with an unexpected floral brightness where freesia and saffron slip between cool petal facets and warm, metallic spice, then deepen into a heart where agarwood threads its smoky-woody presence through supple osmanthus and jasmine, before settling into a dense, ambery base of myrrh, sandalwood and patchouli that feels radiant, resinous and softly shadowed.
Who It Is For and When to Wear It
On skin, True Oud moves from a bright but nuanced floral‑spicy opening into a progressively deeper oud theme, where agarwood’s warmth is softened by osmanthus and jasmine before the myrrh‑laden base turns more resinous, woody and ambery, with sandalwood and patchouli providing a long, velvety trail ideal for evening wear and colder or transitional weather. Best suited to autumn and winter, when its warm oud, resin and amber facets feel enveloping, with good use on cool spring evenings; it is generally heavy for hot, humid summer daytime wear. Sillage is Sillage is pronounced but controlled, creating a clear aura around the wearer without becoming overwhelming when applied moderately, with stronger projection in the first few hours before settling closer to the skin. Longevity is Longevity is generally strong, with the resinous oud, myrrh, sandalwood and patchouli base supporting 8 or more hours on skin, especially in moderate to cooler conditions and on fabric. These are editorial estimates derived from the official composition and concentration and will vary with skin and climate.
