Zeste d'Orange & Oud
A travel-born blend: upcycled orange and spice up top, then cedar, benzoin and a souk-bound finish.
Perfumer: Amandine Galliano
Amandine Galliano says this perfume took shape during travels, and it moves like a journey: a bright, spiced arrival, a long stretch of wood, then a slower, darker ending.
The top pairs upcycled orange terpene with cardamom, incense and CO2 pink pepper, so the citrus reads as zest with smoke already curling around it. Virginia cedar, geranium, papyrus and patchouli form the heart: dry, pencil-shaving wood with a green, leafy edge from the geranium.
The base lists vetiver, Agard cedar, Siam benzoin and musk. Galliano compares the oud in the drydown to the markets she remembers from her travels. Benzoin then softens the wood with a warm, resinous sweetness.
