Ebène & Ambre
A cistus-patchouli co-distillate, a peanut-butter facet of vetiver and powdery musks, in a musky woody named for ebony and amber.
Perfumer: Serge de Oliveira
Ebène & Ambre pairs ebony and amber in its name. For its signature, Serge de Oliveira turned to an upcycled co-distillation of cistus and patchouli, which brings an animalic, spellbinding depth.
The surprise comes from Haitian vetiver, which here shows an addictive, peanut-butter facet. After a fresh opening, it sits at the heart among dry woods and a transparent floral note.
The base layers musk, upcycled patchouli, moss and ebony. Powdery white musks wrap around everything, holding richness and enveloping comfort together.
