Balsam is a warm resinous note inspired by aromatic tree exudates and balsamic materials. It is not only one ingredient name; it describes a family of soft, sweet, sticky, and enveloping effects related to materials such as benzoin, tolu balsam, Peru balsam, and labdanum.

Scent Profile

The profile is warm, sweet, rounded, and slightly sticky, with suggestions of vanilla, honey, resin, soft spice, and sometimes smoke or leather. Unlike a light sugar note, balsam feels slow and deep, as if it settles into the skin over time.
