Rose Miel

Rose Miel pairs a classical rose with the sweetness and shaded bitterness of honey and cacao. Inspired by the atmosphere of a fairy tale, Mayumi Nakada and chocolatier Koji Tsuchiya bring flowers, herbs, spices and chocolate together. The floral theme has both a lively green side and a warmer gourmand setting.

Bay leaf, bergamot, rose petals, cacao, thyme and oregano form the opening. Citrus and green herbs surround the rose. Lavender, clove, anise, rose, rosemary and cardamom follow in the heart, adding the warmth and lively edge of crushed spices to the flowers. The herbs and spices give the rose a different texture from sweetness alone.

Balsam, chocolate, honey, frankincense, vanilla and cedarwood make up the base. Rounded honey and bittersweet cacao meet the depth of resins and woods, giving the rose a quiet warmth. Sweetness, spice and woody depth stay together in the finish, carrying the fairy-tale atmosphere through concrete floral and gourmand materials.
