The page marks Ambre cello "Piano & Forte," "Deep Vibes" and "60-120 BPM," a range of dynamics and tempo for an amber scent. Its setting is the perfume souk of Deira, where an apothecary whispers a musical tale of a nomad, a genius virtuoso, carried by cello notes and ending in lyrical, silky amber floating in the desert.

Each note comes with its own adjective. Elegant bergamot gives a clear brightness, mysterious myrrh adds resinous shadow, and mellow tonka brings a soft, almond-like sweetness.

Lustrous benzoin, clear balms and soulful vanilla join them, combining resinous depth with sweetness. This stacking of resins and sweetness gives the amber the silky texture the brand describes.

Pierre-Constantin Guéros composed the perfume. He likes to play with materials, overdoses and oppositions, and has worked for houses including Davidoff and Givenchy. The music was composed by Javier Martínez Campos and performed by cellist Gautier Capuçon, who taught Campos in the Class of Excellence at the Louis Vuitton Foundation.
