About Atelier Des Ors

Atelier Des Ors is a fragrance house founded in 2015 by Jean-Philippe Clermont. It brings perfume and gold together, treating gold both as a material and as a symbol of beauty, imagination and memory.

History

According to its Japanese retailer, the house began in Dubai before moving its base to France. From the beginning, Clermont has worked with perfumer Marie Salamagne, whose approach helps translate the house's ideas into fragrance. Salamagne describes thinking of her compositions as paintings, with materials and colors creating contrasts.

Philosophy & Signature Style

Fine 24-karat gold flakes suspended in the perfumes give the house's imagery a visible form. The bottle is conceived as a decorative object: its faceted surface recalls the crystal-cutting techniques of the Art Deco era, while a seahorse emblem is engraved on the cap. For the house, these details accompany the fragrance's power to evoke memories rather than standing apart from it.

Iconic Fragrances

Lune Féline sets vanilla against spices and woods in a warm composition. Rose Omeyyade draws on Damask rose and the imagined splendor of Levantine palaces. Blue Madeleine takes the memory awakened by a madeleine as a starting point, offering a different, more reflective interpretation of the house's interest in scent and recollection.
