Eau de Campagne
A relaxed, herbal eau de toilette built around tomato leaf and wild herbs.
Perfumer: Jean-Claude Ellena
Campagne is French for countryside, and Sisley presents this eau de toilette as nature itself and a sign of the French way of living. The tone is relaxed and herbal rather than polished.
Bergamot and lemon open alongside basil, galbanum and wild herbs, so the citrus arrives with a green, slightly bitter edge. At the heart, tomato leaf leads, with jasmine, geranium, lily of the valley and plum around it; its sharp, earthy greenness keeps the flowers from turning sweet.
Oakmoss, patchouli, vetiver and musk make up the base. The moss and roots leave a damp, dry finish, and the musk rounds it off. Sisley describes the whole as a fresh, invigorating bouquet that brings a sense of refinement and well-being.
