Rose Shot
The petal chapter of Dominique Ropion's Sepia trilogy, born of Roberto Greco's photographs: Turkish rose essence sharpened by pink pepper and shaded with smoky guaiac wood.
Perfumer: Dominique Ropion
Dominique Ropion's bond with Céline Verleure goes back to a Kenzo perfume they made together. A true lover of flowers, Ropion returned to them in the Sepia trilogy born of three photographs by Roberto Greco, following the flower from Iris Shot's root and Violet Shot's leaf until Rose Shot turns to the bewitching power of rose petals.
At its centre is Turkish rose essence. Pink pepper, bergamot and elemi make a forceful opening, which white-flower lactones round off, so the rose stays fresh and captivating at once.
As the rose reveals its facets, guaiac wood brings in a faint smokiness, and Atlas cedarwood and wood mosses hold that shade with dry timber and moss. Behind the bright flower, a dusky woodiness lingers.
