A spicy floral amber moving from saffron and three peppers into leather, myrrh and incense.

A taupe-grey tone defines Solution No.8. Created by Émilie Bouge, it is a floral amber where spice and sweetness lead, with saffron, pepper and vanilla as the main players. In the Solutions line, each bottle color is meant to point to the scent inside.
The top opens on saffron with pink, green and black pepper, bergamot and ginger. Layering three kinds of pepper gives the heat a range from bright to sharp, while bergamot and ginger add a lighter, fresher lift.
The heart moves into leather, agarwood, myrrh and vanilla. Supple leather, the deep wood of agarwood and the bitter resin of myrrh are drawn together by vanilla's sweetness, which softens their edges.
In the base, Ambroxan, a patchouli fraction and incense carry the amber warmth forward. The smoky incense echoes the myrrh from the heart, so a resinous thread runs from the middle into the base. Solution No.3 or No.6 are suggested as layering partners.
